The Vallée de Farney is a nature reserve nestled in the native forests of Mauritius. The forest is home to over 100 plant species and numerous animals, and Louis Marie has discovered many new plant specimens. Inspired by the wild forest, this fragrance is a woody, mineral scent. The top note is a citrus accord of grapefruit, orange, and black pepper, enhanced by cedarwood and patchouli. It is one of the brand's most popular fragrances.

Maison Louis Marie is the result of a long, rich family history in fragrance, beginning with Louis Marie Aubert du Petit Thouars: a pioneer of French botanical history who was exiled to Madagascar, La Réunion, and Mauritius during the French Revolution. There, he discovered a vast array of plant specimens, collected over 2,000, and was subsequently elected a member of the prestigious Académie des Sciences—the engravings and sketches featured on the fragrance packaging are from his journals.
