IN Answer me! Katharina von der Gathen, a German sex educator, collected questions posed by primary school students during her workshops. She provided answers to all of them – honest, yet humorous and tailored to children's sensibilities. Anke Kuhl complemented the whole with amusing and thought-provoking illustrations.

Sexuality is a delicate topic. Talking about it can be embarrassing, sometimes controversial, and provoking arguments, so it's often avoided. This is especially true with children, who often ask their parents questions about this aspect of life. As adults, we shouldn't leave them unanswered, even if openly addressing certain issues seems like a huge challenge. In such situations, a book can be incredibly helpful, providing a child with answers to their questions and a starting point for further conversation.
We discussed the book and the translation extensively, pondered for a long time over the choice of words and the way certain issues were presented, and didn't agree on everything. However, we believe that books like this are simply necessary.
