Surrounded by the ancient, mysterious Balincourt Forest, this is the name of our family home, where we strolled along the magical trail known as "Lovers' Lane." This romantic scent is a sandalwood fragrance with a dominant accord of cedarwood and sandalwood, complemented by a spicy complex of cinnamon and nutmeg with an earthy note of vetiver.

Maison Louis Marie is the result of a long, rich family history in fragrance, beginning with Louis Marie Aubert du Petit Thouars: a pioneer of French botanical history who was exiled to Madagascar, La Réunion, and Mauritius during the French Revolution. There, he discovered a vast array of plant specimens, collected over 2,000, and was subsequently elected a member of the prestigious Académie des Sciences—the engravings and sketches featured on the fragrance packaging are from his journals.

More than 200 years later, Maison Louis Marie was born: drawing on her family's rich botanical history as inspiration and guidance, Marie created luxurious candles, perfumes, and skincare products that focus on exquisite, long-lasting fragrances infused with exceptional floral essences.
