Nanchen dolls have been handmade with great care in North Hesse since 1983.

In the early 1980s, founders Nana and Peter Sendke could not find the high-quality dolls they wanted for their children. So they began creating their own dolls, inspired by Waldorf educational dolls.

Soon after the first attempts, thanks to rich craftsmanship experience, a colorful world of unique Nanchen dolls began to develop.

To this day, Nanchen Natur remains true to its roots and carefully refines modern designs. Meanwhile, it employs 15 staff members, working from home or in a small, family-run factory. Nanchen dolls are hand-stuffed, and their faces are hand-painted, which gives each doll a unique character.

The creation of Nanchen dolls requires a lot of time and craftsmanship, which seems somewhat contradictory to our incredibly fast-paced times. However, we are convinced that the time and care put into producing these unique products set them apart and give them a touch of magic.

Nanchen Natur products are made almost 100% from raw materials from controlled organic cultivation. Nanchen dolls are filled with Bioland-Virgin sheep's wool from Germany.
