Karolcia

The book tells the adventures of eight-year-old Karolcia and her peer and friend Piotruś. Karolcia finds a miraculous bead that has the magical property of granting the girl's every wish. When Karolcia and Piotr discover the magical properties of the bead, they decide to use it to help others, make the world a better place, and also… to fulfill their wildest dreams. But reality quickly surprises them. By rashly expressing her unthought-out wishes, Karolcia provokes numerous embarrassing situations – some comical, some dangerous, some very difficult to escape from. Furthermore, the bead attracts a dangerous intruder – the cunning and resourceful witch Filomena. The children will have a hard time escaping her traps.

The exciting, often hilarious adventures of Karolcia and Piotr will provide children with more than just entertainment. For the novel's characters—and for the readers as well—their adventures with the magic bead become a true lesson in life; they teach them responsibility for their decisions and actions, as well as the art of planning and predicting the consequences of their own actions.
