Ignacy Józef Krasicki (1735-1801) - an outstanding poet, comedy writer. Bishop of Warmia, senator and prince, archbishop of Gniezno. Author of many poems, satires and fairy tales.
The most famous and popular, inventive, full of humor are ''literary pearls'' in their genre. Krasicki's fairy tales in an excellent study by Jan Marcin Szancer reflect and emphasize the atmosphere of the epoch - they also make it easier for the youngest to understand the works of ''The Prince of Poets''.
