Rascal Bikes has been operating in the children's bike industry since 2010. The brand's founders, Kuba Holec and Ondra Brunecký , began their journey when they noticed a lack of bikes their own children would enjoy riding. They wanted to give them the best of both worlds – a bike that was both lightweight and comfortable .
Ondra , a former interior designer, had a clear vision for the aesthetics and functionality of a children's bike. Kuba, in turn, brought his racing experience, which helped set high quality standards. Jaroslav Juřica , a frame designer, also joined the team to help address the challenges of bike geometry and selecting the right technologies.
The design process for the first Rascal bikes took two intense years . The team's work resulted in a brand that was first introduced to the world in 2019 at the Eurobike International Bicycle Fair . Rascal bikes immediately gained recognition among both amateurs and professionals, offering children comfort and style previously lacking in the market.
