Comparison of Stokke chairs, i.e. which feeding chair should you choose?

The new highchair in the Stokke product family was the perfect impulse to introduce you to the differences between highchairs from the brand's portfolio. There are quite a few of them, as many as four, and each of them has something different to offer parents and their children.

Unique chairs for children, or what makes Stokke feeding chairs special?

Before we move on to the differences between them, we will pay attention to the features that stand behind the brand's philosophy. What definitely connects Stokke feeding chairs area matter of safety and stabilization is so important. Each chair hasadditional seat belts, which we don't have to worry about, because we can easily assemble and disassemble them. Let's remember that regardless of whether we use the harness or not, we should not leave the child unattended in the chair.

The Tripp Trapp chair, but also the Nomi, Steps, Clikk chairs, thanks to their structure and leg spacing, are solid and not subversive. Additionally, the Stokke Tripp Trapp in the set Baby Sethas extended glides and the Nomi chair has anti-tilt wheels that increase stability strengthen.

Another common feature is exceptional quality of materials that are easy to keep clean. Regardless of the choice of diet, whether BLW or classic, many porridges, mousses and purees will end up on the chair and/or around, so it is important that a damp cloth alone can cope with all the broccoli and carrots. Simple shapes, smooth surfaces and no places where food remains could get stuck make cleaning up after a meal much less valuable parental time.

What else should a high chair be like? Speaking of practical advantages, this is exactly what such a chair should be: practical. What does that mean? Quick, stress-free assembly and a simple way of adjusting the seat and footrest, as well as simple installation of other accessories such as a tray or a newborn set. And here the first differences appear, but from the beginning.

What are the differences between Stokke feeding chairs?

What about folding? Isn't it the same as with the IKEA chest of drawers? Not at all!Assembling is intuitive and, if necessary, you can use the instructions attached to the chairs, which are clear and transparent. We don't need any professional tools because everything is included. Three of the four chairs can be screwed together using an Allen key, and the Clikk chair can be assembled without using any tools in just 1 minute!

Doesn't that sound great?

Let's get back to adjusting the seat and footrest. We cannot avoid this because children grow extremely quickly, so it is necessary to change the height and depth of these parts from time to time to ensure that the correct body posture is maintained while sitting. In the Stokke chair Tripp Trapp we use an Allen key to adjust individual elements. At Nomiwe have clamping knobswhich determine the position of the footrest and the height, as well as the depth of the seat. Steps, on the other hand, has knobsthat adjust the height of the footrest, we can also lengthen the back in the Baby Set just by reattaching it. It looks different in the chair Clikk. To change the position of the legroom, simply turn the footrest; the seat is not adjustable in this case, but the Clikk highchair is intended to last for approximately 36 months.

We have a folded, adjusted chair, but what about its mobility? Weight definitely matters here. The lightest chair is Clikk, it weighs 4.6 kg. Right behind it we have Nomi with a weight of 4.7 kg, Steps with a weight of 5.1 kg and Tripp Trapp with a weight of 7 kg. These differences result from the materials from which the chair is made. Tripp Trapp is made of solid beech or oak wood and is consequently heavier than other chairs, which are made of a combination of wood, beech/oak plywood and plastics.

What about the load? On the podium we have the Nomi 150 kg chair, Tripp Trapp 136 kg and Steps 85 kg. Clikk is the lightest chair, but it can be used by children up to 15 kilograms.

We have already mentioned that from a chair Clikkthe child will be able to use it until the age of 36 months, the remaining chairs will stay with our children until adulthood, in fact for the rest of their lives. Thanks to an additional accessory such as a newborn chair set Tripp Trapp, Nomii Steps can be used from birth, everywhere, where we need a "third hand". Newborn Set will help with everyday duties, and a toddler who is at the right height will be interested in he followed his family members with his eyes, being wrapped in a cozy and safe "nest". This is one of the phenomenal conveniences in every parent's layette.

You can't forget about other accessories, such as a tray, seat belts, pillows, which you can easily install on the selected chair and matching silicone plates. For most chairs, excluding Clikk, additional parts can be purchased separately, in the Clikk feeding chair the tray and belts are included.

If you are still not sure which chair to choose, its appearance will certainly be a big help. Apart from the child's comfort, aesthetic considerations do not come into the background, and you have a lot to choose from. Something more classic or maybe modern? More oval, streamlined shapes or, on the contrary, straight angles. Everyone will find something for themselves. There are enough color variants to choose the right color that harmonizes with the rest of the house or apartment.

We believe that you will make the best decisions for you, bearing in mind that life revolves around the family table.
